About Redbridge Rainbow Community

Redbridge Rainbow Community supports and connects LGBTQ+ people who live, work, socialise and study in the London Borough of Redbridge.

Our aim is to support LGBTQ+ people living, working, studying or socialising within Redbridge to have a say about their community.

Some LGBTQ+ people within Redbridge may be very isolated and are not ‘out’ to others about their sexual orientation and/or gender identity.

We advocate for social inclusion of LGBTQ+ people in Redbridge and work with local public services, including council services, the police, health services and other services and businesses so that they can fully take into account the needs of LGBTQ+ people.

We are committed to raising public awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community working with public authorities to reduce the incidents and harm caused by homophobic, biphobic or transphobic behaviour; and to create focal points where LGBTQ+ people can meet and feel comfortable to share their experiences and suggestions for change.

Redbridge Rainbow is keen to hear your thoughts and ideas about how to make Redbridge inclusive and safe for everyone.

Come along to our meetings or events and share your ideas on everything from socialising, health, families, social care and education through to equality and inclusion.
